The first day I saw you
With all your blond hair and blue eyes
Right then I wanted to go up and talk to you
But I was so afraid to try

I’m so scared to trust you
To show you how I feel inside
I’m so scared of loving you
Because I don’t want a broken heart
And another reason to cry

Throughout the year I watched you
Silent words spilling from my lips
The things I would never tell you
Because I was so afraid of life
