How I Roll - Poem by Scarlett Blades
Do you not like the way I go?
Hmm, do you look at me and say “oh…”?
Does it bother you,
That I’ve done things you might think is slow?
Do you think I’m just downright low?
Well, then, look here,
This is how I roll.
You can batter me,
So I’ll make sure I’ll give you back a blow.
And you can shatter me,
But I’ll show you that I can still glow.
You know why?
Because this is how I roll.
You can flee
And jab a hole in me
But see that no matter what you think
Know that this is just how I roll.
