How I Think Poem by Jamie Loughlin

Let me tell you
A Secret.
One that will make
you Understand
how I Think.

It's that I don't
Care about Feelings
because Emotion
Is a boat that Sinks.

Emotion flounders about
Without any solid ground,
Finds a person to latch onto,
And then drags Him Down.

I am not a heartless person.
But I put my heart on a Scale
and when there is logic
the heart always fails.

Logic is sounder than Emotion, but I must admit:
If Emotion did not matter,
Why do I care what
Others Think?
