How I Wish
How I wish it meant more to her
Like I knew it did
Unbreakable, indelible
For me
But she wishes to ignore it
Not interesting, not complicated enough
So simple
No nourishment for a story, a song
So simple
How could I possibly share
Her deep meaningful feelings
Her sense for drama
But simple was all I needed
Not any less strong
I can't make you
Only know it was true and let it go
