How I wish I were a pen,
People would then use me,
I would be a non-living thing,
But as alive as a living being.
People would share their joys with me,
And their sorrows too.
They would love me,
And I would love them.
They would take me everywhere they went,
Close to their heart.
I would travel through the world.
Sitting in someone’s pocket,
I would not need a visa,
Nor would I need a passport.
I would be more valuable than my cost,
I would be more powerful too.
I would be mightier than the sword,
If I am used in the right way.
