How The Time Change Poem by Pietro Grossi

How The Time Change

When my friend Roberto told me
What happened to him one night
I saw how people change
How the world turns their sight.

He said 'Jenny was 20
When came with me that night.
Told me 'Be careful I'm virgin',
With regret, not with pride.

I felt my mind in trouble
Is it the truth or she lies?
'Jenny why this decision?
I just knew you tonight.

She said 'Sunday I will marry,
I fear for the first night,
Don't want my husband says:
I have a virgin bride'.

When my friend Roberto told me
What happened to him one night
I saw how people change,
How the world turns their side.
