Searching for my soul mate
Searching for my long lost love.
My heart aches for someone to be with me all the time,
Wishing I found someone who knew me inside and out.
Longing for love and acceptance,
Longing for that touch and embrace.

Longing for the silence of just being in each other’s presence,
Longing for the comfort of knowing you will always be there.
Longing for the thought you will never leave me,
Knowing I can always trust you.
Knowing you will always help me,
Knowing you will always care.

You have my best interests at heart.
Have you always been there?
Have I been looking in the wrong place?
Waiting for that connection,
Waiting for someone else to notice me.
Someone who doesn’t really know me,
Someone who doesn’t really care.

I can see you,
I can feel you reaching out to me.
Knowing you are the one,
Knowing you are everything to me,
I am everything to you.

Finally I am at peace,
My soul rests knowing you are the one.
Knowing you are the one who loves me no matter what I do,
You are the one who truly cares.
You have been waiting all this time for me,
Watching me, loving me, reaching out to me.
I never knew your love,
Until I asked “I give up God show me the way”.
