How You'Ve Changed Poem by William Mahlangu

How You'Ve Changed

to the high to the low,
huge sound like that of boxer's blow,
to the eye you were like one of the meek,
what have passed are the weeks

don't judge the one whose mouth sealed,
whose mouth never leaped,
i won't understand,
but the scene i won't withstand

how i always bathed with tears,
and my ointment was fear,
but i can't always be detective,
i know life can sometimes be seductive
