Human Lights Poem by Rickardo BecklesBurrowes

Human Lights

You are not held to this earth by your feet,
your hands don't carry your reach
your beauty is not shell facing -
for it ends, it passes to earth
to flames, assembly line boxes,
mistaking the truth of you.
No justice given to your core
as the world looses a little more light,
We never forget, we never forget,
humbled raw, honoured with your heart.
