Even though we deny it
And try our best to fight it
No matter how much we hide it
It never fails to surprise us
I can't believe the way we're raised
Doesn't teach us about day to day
Challenges that we're all gonna face
Instead we treat life like a game
People are just obstacles that get in our way
And feelings are only toys that we play
Most emotions are just a phase
Something will always make them change
Everyone only worries about their reputation and age
Not noticing the hurtful words they say
How can we be so capable of hate
Treating our friends like bits of bait
But even if we try we'll never change that
It's programmed into our human nature
