Human's Life Poem by Alexander Kovalenko

Human's Life

To some, life grants a strength untold,
To some, a mind both sharp and bright. While others, burdened, heavy-souled,
Are crushed by thoughts they can't withstand.

Who knows what fate has set in store?
Her whims are fickle, wild, unkind.
You might be born a slave, yet soar
With genius blazing in your mind.

Or born a prince, yet cold, unwise,
With pride that poisons every breath,
To rot in gold's dull, joyless guise,
And ache with boredom unto death.

What are we? Wind—a fleeting gust;
A riddle none can hope to solve.
Why live? Perhaps because we must…
Or just to watch the world revolve.
