Humble Poem by David Daykin

Humble

Rating: 5.0

I am not humble in my day to day,
I sit amused watching life this mortality play.
I can never understand all He wants to show,
I look at His lessons and they seem high above on an unassailable plateau.
I cannot understand the sacrifices that have gone before,
the pain His son suffered so this humanity could soar.
I cannot understand the unending love,
I look around and feel sometimes we are undeserving of.
What humbles me is that He should care,
unconditionally, no reserve, this is a gift so rare.
I am humble in my love of God,
Without his light this path would of been dark that I have trod.
