Hummingbird Poem by Douglas Whiteraven

Hummingbird

Look...look
What is that
Quick...quick
Like a flash
Zip...zip
To and fro
Nature's beauty
Don't you know

Long...long
Pointed beak
Tiny...tiny
little feet
Flutter...flutter
Here and there
Makes me want to
Stop and Stare

Silent...silent
He does fly
Swiftly...swiftly
Passing by
Look...look
On my knee
He has stopped
To visit me

Here...here
There he goes
To the feeder
Then a rose
Busy...busy
Little friend
He was here
But gone again
