Hummingbird Poem by Harlan Simantel

Hummingbird

hummer of summer
visit me again

you flew so gracefully
buzzing in sunny air

as i sat at patio table
one quiet afternoon, fair

it looks so fun
to halt and hover
still upon the air

then zip away to blossoms
and feed without a care

you visit sudden
and then are suddenly gone
amazing little dashing bird
return with tomorrow's sun!
