Hunters Harangue Poem by Katherine A. Russell

Hunters Harangue

Tis the time of year for the Hunters Harangue
You go for a walk, all you hear is Bang Bang
Traffic? You bet ! Cars bumper to bumper,
Hauling trailers of feed. There's a spot ! OK. Dump her!
Seven hundred fifty thousand hunters in the woods.
Hear a twig snap, better run for cover.
Its really wonder they don't shoot each other!
For tis the time of year for the Hunters Harangue
When you go for a walk and all you hear is Bang Bang !
