I never thought that love could hurt,
the pain runs deep, deeper than dirt.

At first we were happy like kids at the park,
but slowly and slowly we lost that spark.

You fall in love and you think oh what such joy,
but the one that you love treats your heart like a toy.

They say that they love you but their actions just don't,
you try to stop crying but the tears they just won't.

You've been through it all, the ups and the downs,
you've seen it all, the smiles and the frowns.

Then she makes the decision to end something good,
but I did what I was supposed to, I loved her like I should.

I remember like it was yesterday at prom our first dance,
but now in reality i see there's no second chance.

I really died that day you returned my stuff,
and until this day I still think I haven't cried enough.

But finally I understand, that I truly do,
i'm sorry that I wasn't good enough for you.
