Hurting Poem by Karla Bell

Hurting

How dare you not listen to my words,
How dare you think it is ok to skim over the important bits
How dare you ignore me so blatantly
How bloody dare you treat me like a fool.

You think I feel good about all this,
You think I sleep at night,
You think I care so little about the consequences,
You think so bloody little!

It’s so hard to move on,
It’s so hard to not go back to it all,
It’s so hard to stop shouting as it’s all we know,
It’s so bloody hard to let go.

This can’t last forever,
This can’t be what it’s all about,
This can’t be my last ditch attempt at happiness
This I can bloody do without.
