Hurting You More Than I Should Have Poem by danielle bennett

Hurting You More Than I Should Have

I keep bleeding
from this pain
i've been giving you
you gave me your love
and I took it for granite
i've been treating you
as if you were only a doll
everytime you would try to help me
I would push you away
though I always needed the help
I just never wanted it
thinking if I took it
I would only be hurting you more
than i ever should have in the first place
