Husbands With Broken Hearts (Lance The Lonely) Poem by Lance Carthen

Husbands With Broken Hearts (Lance The Lonely)

If someone tells you they hate you.
That you make them more sick everyday.
If someone trys to hurt you by the words that they say.
If you beg them to stop screaming at you yet they continue anyway.
At what point do you get up and just walk far away?
If someone tells you they dont care when you ask about their love.
When they tell you its all your fault for not being mature enough.
Now when this same person spits in your face and says your not a man.
But when things are going well she wants you to hold her hand.
At what point do you stop the tears and slowly pull out the knife.
When this person was supposed to be the one, your beautiful, caring wife.
Now boys be weary of the love journey you will one day embark.
Pray you dont wind up like me, a husband with a broken heart.
