Please just hold me,
and don't say a word.
The silence of your arms around me
is the best sound to be heard.

You don't have to flatter me
with a soft spoken phrase.
The touch of your hand
is better than flowers or praise.

When you look down and smile,
with that twinkle in your eye;
I know your love is genuine
and it gives me strength to get by.

I want to stay this way forever,
and feel the warmth of your touch.
Nothing could ever be better
than this soft, gentle hush.
