Hypocrite Poem by mbaimbai phathutshedzo

Hypocrite

Look at him from the outside
A charming, handsome, sweet young little fellow
For he puts on a sheep's skin
Whilst hiding a dangerous wolf inside

His head is full of the word of God
But his spirit is starving to death
He knows much about the law of God
But very little he puts into practice
He knows the light of God
But still he walks in darks

He sings and dances to be cheered by others
He gives to the poor to gain favor from men
He specializes in obtaining fame and popularity
Rather than getting approval from El Shadia
Behold! A hypocrite is at hand

Come sunday and behold the hypocrite
Going to church wearing sunday face, shoe and sunday mindset
Oh Hypocrite! Time for pretending is ocer
Clean thy life
Start serving God from the depth of your heart!
