Hythe Bay Poem by Clare Grover Cotterill

Hythe Bay

I sit on shingle cushion and watch the pond ahead
Slight ripples waver gently, seagulls hover overhead
So peaceful and deserted, I smile and close my eyes
Breathe deeply, hold it tightly,
Simple pleasure in disguise
A soft wind blows around me, still warm across my face
I love this slice of heaven
My calm and special place
