I Always Wander And Wonder Poem by johann celestial

I Always Wander And Wonder

i wander in a long lonely street,
and each dull faces i see,
they grin or they turn their back at me,
and i stare, as i make my own plea.

i wander in a steamy hot lane,
where women and men, i always see,
they wait for a hungry customer,
i stare, as they strip their clothes in front of me.

i wander in the gloomy old houses,
where the old people and young don't play,
where adults are busy running their own way,
i stare, as they bump me, without 'please' or 'may'.

i wander in a busy wide city,
and the cars rushes along the way,
streets are flooded with beggars, i pity,
i stare, as they beg alms everyday.

i wander in my own place,
in my statuesque state i almost cry,
i wonder why we don't extend hands, i shout!
i stare, as the light of candle dies.
