I Am Poem by Susannah Bryan

I Am

I am
Formless
Shapeless
Colorless
Lifeless
Barely breathing on the floor
A deformed creature that is masked by pain
From a hideous creator
In shame I sit in the darkness of a montrous cage
And chains to keep locked in place
But I am free
Tears of rain caress my face
Sickly sweet of flowers bloom
Nights that whisper dreams to me
My room
Where my wings spread wide
No flaws
They can use the wind
