I am the person I have dreamed of becoming
I wonder if I will ever grow- up
I hear the ocean tide
I want a family
I am the person I have dreamed of becoming

I pretend to be pleased in school
I feel my grandfather’s hand reaching for me
I touch the sky
I worry about dying
I cry when the people I love get hurt
I am the person I have dreamed of becoming

I understand the powerful times people go through
I say no one will ever die
I dream about my future
I try to make a difference
I hope I will never hurt anyone
I am the person I have dreamed of becoming
