I Am Poem by Richard Lam

I Am

I am punctured
I am torn
I am fractured
I am maimed
I am betrayed
I am played
I am bruises
I am scars
I am water
I am rain
I am flesh
I am bones
I am that empty water bucket
I am those mismatched passed down shoes
I am that woman with missing teeth
I am that sorry man with a wrinkled nose
I am tears, sorrow, and pain
I am laughters, joy, and pleasure
I am memories
I am air
