I Am A Bird.
(written in 4th grade, I never forgot)


I am a bird I soar I fly
around the world underneath a disguise.
Pluck off my feathers, pull off my skin
what you will picture lyes within!
I have a soul you cannot see.
darker than any cave!
deeper than any sea!
if you doubt and disbelieve.
then ask the pretty bird that lyes upon me.
