This poem reminds me of R U M I - THE REED FLUTE'S SONG: Since I was cut from the reedbed, I have made this crying sound... Few hear the secrets hidden within the notes... It is not given that we can SEE THE SOUL, but just listen to my sad cries: You will hear the soul. It will enter you whole and you will wrap your mind around it. The heart will keep watch, forever, if necessary... There's no turning back now... I AM FIRE, NOT WIND. Freely adapted. (I have a lifetime Poetic License, issued by Carrol Connelly, Poet Laureate of St. Paul, Minnesota, and a SUFI License, issued by the Creative Imagination of Ibn Arabi.)
