I am a man
Not a necessary evil
Not a good one
Not a different type of man
I am a man
I am masculinity
I am the harsh reality meets the warm fugazi
I am the protector of those who don't know they're being protected
I am a man
Not a good man
Not a soft man
Not a man with an asterisk because I am not harming the world around me
I am a man
I too wish for simple physical desires
I too at times wish death upon those who would harm the ones I love
I too can and will beat a nigga to death if he comes incorrect
I am a man
I feel pain when disrespected
I feel joy when people let loose in my presence
I feel fear at the thought of the unknown breaking my peaceful bubble
I am a man
I love the ones I love with my full being
I love myself fully, and extend my self love to all those around
I love the challenges presented by God, testing just how much I love
I am a man
I am my father's son
I am my grandfather's pride
I am my mother's protector
I am a man
