I Am From Poem by mia wallace

I Am From

I am from the blank stares of rocking back and forth
From the tears of my disappointed mother
And shouts of my narcissistic father,
From the stealing and lying, from the addiction
I breathe and live for, from not knowing what the hell
Im going to do with the rest of my life, I've just wanted
To be picture perfect, but doesn't everybody? ,
I'm from the feeling lost and hopeless since the age of 10
From the feeling guilty and spoiled from eating
From convincing myself I'm worthless and it's a burden to live
From the comforting smell of a freshly lit cigarette,
and being so fucked up I puke out my window
From keeping everything bottled up, and throwing myself against a wall
From the look you have in your eyes, I know you wish you could start over with me
From the baby pictures I saw, I wish you still looked at me like that
From all the love in my heart that's now gone, I'm just an empty shell
