I Am Here Poem by Katheryn Foley

Nights like these my knees start to shake,

tripping over my heart cuz its dragging on the ground,

this weight came from all around.

beating down stings and burns tore me apart.

nobody really knows how to react to this rare pain,

should we take it apart or leave it alone,

leave it behind in the beginning and scabs will not exist.

you have to move on leave the pain behind,

don't go back to the old pain when new pain arrives, take it and deal.

it is something real. tired and broken just keep going,

even when the strength isn't there.

love is hidden and you don't know why it hurts so much because your still together,

but you know something is wrong,

the tension it causes is hard to bare,

when all you want to do is let them know your there.

in the dark but in their shadow waiting for them to turn around.

and when they do you'll be face to face,

forever will never leave when you make things right.

I'll love the one I love and hold him tight.

I'll never let go I'll never give up.
