I Am Just A Man Poem by Richard Noggin

I Am Just A Man

I am just an ordinary man
Nothing that would draw your attention on the street
A man that is at times insecure
A man that is weak

I am just an ordinary man
With a normal size brain
Who dose not say much
And dresses real plain

I am just an ordinary man
With an everyday job
That will never be rich
And hopefully never be a snob

I am just an ordinary man
With an average amount of skill
Was never picked first
And will never be King of the Hill

I am just an ordinary man
The under dog
Who always tried hard
But always was wrong

I am just an ordinary man
Except when I am with you
You make me see stars
That is what you do

You fill my heart
Full of compassion
You feed my soul with laughter
More than its daily ration

You lift my spirit
High up in the sky
Give me hope
Make me want to try

You touch me with tenderness
And astound me with your grace
Make me want to rush home
Just to see your face

You smoother me in love
Make me
Feel whole
Inside

Your love
Makes this ordinary man
Shine
