I am only but a child
Teach me so I may know
And teach others
Don’t open the door for me
But give me the key to open it
Don’t give me a fish
Give me the hook to catch it
Don’t tell me what to do
Teach me how to do it
Don’t warn me about dangers
Teach me how to avoid them
Don’t shout at my faults
But explain to me, my faults
Do what you say to me
So I may learn from your examples, for
Actions speak louder than voice
Teach me so I may know and teach others
What I know I will never forget.
