I Am That Very Source Of Light, Poem by Liza Sud

I Am That Very Source Of Light,

I am that very source of light,
there are two stars in my eyes,
and in summer by them I fright
going through to the winter time.

That is how the sun is shining.
It has no sense of a break,
No tiredness with its rays
the same radiance we should make.

But we judge the sun by ourselves,
we refuse it to be above,
we refuse perfectness to be round.
in ten illuminating spheres.

And that is why we are like morons
lending our glance to slush,
we see breaks in shine of a soul
and thus we rip the saint ties.

***

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I remember reading this poem but not knowint how to respond to it. I just re-read it and it spoke directly to me. I can see now that the sun in your poem should be the model for the way we use and appreciate our sight. Like the sun itself, we shoul always be receiving and spreading radiance. We should never become complacent: we are a source of light and must fulfill that identity by continually shining and adding more light to the world. That is the way we nourish our souls which aspire to be saintly in shedding spiritual light always and everywhere.
