I Am The Hare - Poem by Shalom Freedman

I am the hare
The faster I run
The more I fall behind-
In my old age
I run faster and faster,
But I will not get there
I am the hare
Falling farther and farther behind-

Hail to the Tortoises
They have gotten and will get there
I am a hare
Running faster and faster
And falling farther and farther behind
