I Am The Student Poem by ashok jadhav

I Am The Student

(A lone figure stands at a desk or an empty stage, voice filled with determination, curiosity, and occasional frustration.)

I am the student.
Yes… the one who bends beneath the weight of questions,
Who chases answers that run like shadows in the sun.
I am the one who listens when the world speaks in riddles,
And scribbles notes that may or may not make sense tomorrow.
I have sat through lectures that drone like distant storms,
Felt the sting of failure on my own trembling hands,
Watched classmates rise while I stumble,
And still… still, I rise again,
Because to be a student is to never be finished.
I am not just the seeker of facts,
But the prisoner of curiosity, the slave to wonder.
I question, I doubt, I challenge… I fail…
And yet I learn.
Every mistake, every misunderstanding, every wrong turn
Becomes a stepping stone, a spark, a map
To something larger than the self I thought I knew.
I am the student.
Not because I have answers,
But because I will not stop asking.
Because knowledge is not a place to arrive,
But a journey that stretches endlessly,
And I… I am ready to walk it, stumble and soar alike.
I am the student.
And one day, perhaps, I will understand…
But until then, I will learn.
I must learn.
