I need someone to sing these words I write.
I need them set to music, then they might
be heard. Be heard by someone who
will see this world the way I do.
But there's no note of music in my soul
I write the words, but somehow they're not whole.
They need a tune,
the kind of tune to stop the world dead in its tracks.
A wailing sax,
A wild guitar,
to bring the crowds from near and far.
To hear my words and make them see
this dark old world the same as me.
Is there someone, to sing these words I write?
Who'll bring my words out here into the light.
Who'll give them wings and make them fly
into the hearts of people passing by.
They need a tune,
The kind of tune to stop the world dead in its tracks.
A wailing sax,
A wild guitar,
to bring the crowds from near and far
to hear my words and make them see
this dark old world the same as me.
