I Am Who I Am Poem by Zariah Zamarah Alers

I Am Who I Am

I am who I am
Black, White, Spanish, or British.
You are who you are.
Chubby, skinny, slim, or fat.
Just because we all look different, act different;
It doesn't mean we all can't be friends.

I am who I am
Freckles, pimples, or beautiful.
You are who you are.
Drawn, colored, or plain.
There's people 3,000,000 miles away,
And yet; still image what we look like.

I am who I am.
Mansion, beach house, or apartment.
You are who you are.
Vegetable, fruit, or beans.
No matter what you are, you'll have to except yourself for who you are.
