I Become My Own Light
All around me darkness
Murky muddy water
The searing pain where my
Heart once sat
Now searing broken peices
Your stories
Your tenderness
Our memories
Locked now in the past
But I refuse to let you leave me here
I’m stronger than that
You may have almost broke me
But I will overcome
I become my own light
