I Begin To Fade Poem by Tameka Morin

I Begin To Fade

Rating: 5.0

I'll bet two years, I'll bet one year,
I'll bet all my life you won't be here,
when I need you most.
I'll bet two tears, I'll bet one tear,
I'll bet my heart you won't be here,
when I call your name.

My tears can fall down like puddles,
see when I'm cut, I bleed.
I'll learn that the pain I'm feeling,
but crying is a way to know.
My tears will help me learn and grow,
sometime I'll come to know..
..Tears..

Everyday I try just to breathe,
I want people to know,
the truth inside of me.
I feel like I'm not alive,
and in the blink of an eye
I'm in the spotlight.

And there I stand, yet I'm still
the same little girl, they all once knew
only they just don't believe it's true.

Suddenly, I am center stage,
This is my life,
and I'm going to live it how I want
I will not go and hide.
Suddenly, I am not afraid,
to live again.
In the blink of an eye,
my dreams, begin to rain,
and I'm standing in the cold,
as I begin to fade...
