I Call It Love Poem by Sheryl Hagad

I Call It Love

When he gave me a smile,
Cupid struck me from a mile.
I walked with rush,
So he wouldn't see me blush.

When I saw him stare,
I acted as if I didn't care.
Though my heart was pounding like Hell,
I tried my best to hide it, so he couldn't tell.

When he approached and said hi,
I turned around and said goodbye.
But before I could take a step away,
He grabbed my hand and asked me to stay.

And from a lips that doesn't lie,
I thought I was going to die,
When he confessed his love.
The LOVE I longed to HAVE.
