I Can'T Poem by Victoria Annette Bailey

I Can'T

I can't believe in unicorns,
This age has got me hooked,
Fermented dreams of Santa's sleigh
Destroyed by Physics books.
See, the tooth Fairy is a nice idea
A coin for a pearly white,
But in reality, some girl with wings
Doesn't break in a night.
I can't believe in anything
Religion has no words
God's another fairy tale
'The Divine' just seems absurd.
Fifteen years of spun out tales
A chocolate bearing rabbit
Passed onto each new generation
Out of spirit and in habit.
But in this fifteenth year of life
The closet monster doesn't matter
These illusions have been assassinated
By a Dormouse and a Hatter.
