I Can Wait Poem by Steven Aragon

I Can Wait

In the dark
Figuratively
Literally
I'll stay put.
My heart open
Accepting you
At all hours.

Take your time.
Gather thoughts,
Like pebbles,
Of yourself.
I'll be here
With a cloth
To carry them.

On the beach
We will stand.
You and me.
Toss the past
In the sea.
Let them sink.
Start anew.
