I Cannot Go Beyond Myself (Two) Poem by Abdul Wahab

I Cannot Go Beyond Myself (Two)

Rating: 5.0

I cannot go beyond myself

I cannot go beyond myself
Where lies perfection flat and
Circles round the seed of success
I remain within my stale square box
No matter how much I try my best
I squarely fall flat upon my base and
Move round a centre people call it apex
Yet I could not get out from this stalemate
The same strange odd stench I inhale
No perfume or scent I get fresh one or new
But my dear people affectionately say
This is entirely my one sided view
The other side of mine remain black
Reason, I cannot go beyond myself
Limited I lay whatever are vast and
Great, humbly I left those all to you
The same kind of old and cliché I express
I repeat the same me and myself
As I cannot go what I am not
And air only my point of view
As I do not know what are yours.
