i try and fill your void
that you left
when the world became empty.
and the relentless sense of
indifference that i pretended
all at once
and that i imagine all the time
in my restlessness

without you

but then i wonder
because never having had you
how i could feel quite so lost
in this enormity.

comprehend
in your emptiness
as i lift the weight

struggling

trembling
