I could not stop the night
Or the demons within
Whom keep me free from anger
And cleanse me of my sins

I could not stop the night
Or the shining stars
Whom fill my path with their light
And guide me in my fights

I could not stop the night
From crying her own tears
Haunting me, shaking me
Showing me her fears

I could not stop the night
From pushing me to death
Yes she cares, so do you
Please just lay me down to rest
