I Couldn't Be Any Other Way Today Poem by Rich Harney

I Couldn't Be Any Other Way Today

I couldn't be any other way today
Suppose, I'm supposing I'm all to weak
you here lying in the morning prattle,
I dream, I dare quickly, I peek, peek, peek

I couldn't be any other way today
And any other thing — I couldn't do
'Tis all in your arms, enough, enough!
So glad to give my heart to you.

Shall we go down a summer's lane
And spy the air we've kissed in?
It crackles there, this stratosphere!
It hums a loud — do listen!

And all day play nerve on nerve and
Never pause to wonder why,
The daffodils are counting us
And merry blooms — do we sigh.
