I Cry For You Poem by Prince ....

I Cry For You

I’m dying here.
I’m drowning.
I can’t breathe.
The pressure that fills
my lungs also squeezes
at my heart.
You lied to me.
You were the deceiver.
I was the believer.
I believed that you loved me.
But then you turn around and say
“It was never so.”
You said you felt bad.
Obviously not bad enough.
I loved you so much.
I had given you my heart
way before I even said
two words to you.
And you ripped it apart.
I told you that I was
fine with being friends…I’m not.
How can I be? ?
You said with your actions that
you loved me back.
But you said with your words
that there’s nothing there.
You said I could talk to you
but how am I supposed to know
if you’re just going to lie again
to my face.
I still feel your kisses on my cheeks.
Your hand in mine.
Your strong arms lifting me up.
Your face next to mine.
I need those things that
you’ve ripped away.
You made me so happy.
I told my friends that I
wouldn’t cry but I don’t
think that’s possible.
I cry in anguish.
I cry in pity.
I cry for you.
