you look at me
you see through me
you break my heart
you crush my soul
you hurt my honor
you take my pride
you knock me down
yes still i rise
i'm like the sun
and soon ill shine
no matter what
i'll say i'm fine
but you still know
i'm telling lies
i try to hide it
with my smiles
you know better
you watch my eyes
the way i smize
its no surprise
i can't deny
you had me hooked
my cell was booked
my faith was shook
so i took the pen
i took the book
rewrote my fate
unlocked the cage
regained my strength
now i'm brave
i'm not afraid
my mind is made
open the shades
reveal the truth
no more lying
no more denying
no more trying
to be something i'm not
just for you
that's the old me
this mes new
and ill do what i want
because its my life
my time
and i decide
