I Do Not Miss My Childhood Poem by Elspeth Maisie

I Do Not Miss My Childhood

I do not miss my childhood.
But I like to recollect some
vivid moments from the past
despite knowing that all i can
see is me, aching in a pitch
darkroom surrounded with
different faces.

But I haven't known it,
not until someone told me that
my eyes scream melancholy.
My eyes are the product of my past.

But what can I do,
Life is full of these mundane feelings.
I cant live without the presence of pain;
even you.

Perhaps, you wont believe this, but I know;
there are still uncountable emotions lurking in the dark waiting to be felt.
Feel it.

Because the finest art of all
is living despite life being unlivable.
